wow, thanks for all the comments!

So just a few things: He did not tell me how many crackers I could/should eat or what kind of bread, so I'm trying to stay within WW guidelines as I try his list.

I'm going to post the list soon (I started working on it, but when I have to work out more, or go to WW, or even just cook dinner, I run out of time), because I think you will get a giggle out of it. Some of the stuff I don't even know what it is! Also I don't eat pork usually and there is a LOT of it on the list. So the choices really then start to decrease.

He also said the 2.5 hours exercise had to be MINIMUM 1 hour and 15 minutes EACH TIME. Not 30 minutes spread over 5 days. Also I don't do weights, not really, though I try to use the machines at the gym (when I make it *sigh*) So, yeah. I have timing issues. I would love to do some weight work as well. And spinning. I want to try spinning (Lisa and her spinning has gotten in my mind now!!)

Lisa is it your polar programme that told you broccoli had 5g of fat????

Thanks again for the responses - will definitely be updating you all soon!

Crackers over eggs for breakfast? Interesting. There's no way I'd survive on that! This girl needs her protein. And I've eaten eggs for breakfast pretty much everyday for the last year and a half. And I've lost over 100lbs, so I say EGGS ALL THE WAY!! :)

And I totally count your biking to work as activity. You're moving, so it counts.

Forget the experts, they be crazy. Lol

Yeah, ditto what they all said. I don't even think you should take his dietary advice for two weeks. I *do* think he's right that your daily commute doesn't count for hard exercise. BTW, do you weight lift? That might really help w/ your weight loss.

If I ate crackers for breakfast, you'd have to pick me up from the floor after an hour. I need protein. Eggs, or egg whites, or egg beaters every morning. Mixed with veggies and sometimes low fat cheese. And a high fiber bread of some sort. With coffee. I do agree on the no coffee on an empty stomach thing, that will spike your blood sugar and cause a huge dip which will make you feel awful.

2.5 hours of exercise a week is only 30 minutes, 5x a week, it's not bad at all, but I absolutely think your bike ride counts. Unless it's an easy ride, and your body is pretty used to it by now.

You know your body better than that cracker. I've been on Weight Watchers for 2 years, and it's the only plan that has ever worked, because I can incorporate the foods that I like. I never feel deprived. It's all about planning, balance, and portion control.

If you're hungry, eat something. By starving you're only hurting your metabolism. Trust your gut. Best of luck to you!

Serious? filet Americain? I thought that was high in fat content? Not sure..but yes it is normal "dutch food" diet really and they all think bread cheese and crackers is the way to go. But you are doing it right just try his advice then at least if it doesn't work the proof is there.

I'm following my polar personal trainer (weight loss programme that is with polar heart rate monitor) my programme advises me to exercise 9hrs per week 5hrs in zone 1 60-70% and 4 hrs in zone 2 70-80% apparently I had been doing too much exercise in zone 3 and now forbids me from that zone at the moment for weight loss. Perhaps you have a similar programme with your heart rate monitor you can try? I am sure you have already tried this though.

I still wonder where the average person finds 9 hours per week to work out though... I am certain that your cycle to the station counts towards this!! what is your heart rate when you cycle do you know? Did he really say that doesn't count as exercise? if so I think he is slightly crazy!

How many crackers are you supposed to eat??? Are Dutch crackers 15 times the size of American or something?
I don't think I'd even be able to think about giving it 2 weeks so big kudos to you for that.

How incredibly frustrating.
Quite frankly, I can't see how eating crackers in the morning is going to help you stay full until lunch. I don't get it. At all.
I'd be frustrated as well and I think you're awesome for even giving the food list a try for 2 weeks.
